The vessel traffic service starts from Maasaanloop, about 35 miles from the mouth of Rotterdam Port. Always listen to the VHF channel of the sector in which you are. Ensure that all communications are short and concise. Always notify any deviations in the normal navigation procedure and/or shortcomings in vessel equipment.

For more than 9 years, the Zeemanshuis in Moerdijk has been the place where seafarers away from home can enjoy a pleasant evening. The Zeemanshuis (sailor's home) is open twice per week: On Monday and Thursday evenings between 19.00 and 22.00.
The Zeemanshuis has wifi, a bar and a shop. It is a joint initiative of the churches and the Port Authority in Moerdijk and is run by volunteers.
