The Port and Industrial Estate of Moerdijk is the first in the Netherlands to receive BREEAM-NL Area certification for sustainability performance


The Port of Moerdijk had the honour of being the first area in the Netherlands to receive a new BREEAM certificate for the Port and Industrial Estate of Moerdijk. BREEAM-NL Area 2018 is a new assessment guideline that assesses the sustainability performance of existing areas. The port and industrial estate, incidentally the largest area ever to be assessed by BREEAM-NL, received the rating VERY GOOD (3 stars).

West-Brabant is logistieke hotspot nr 1


Jaarlijks kiest het vakblad Logistiek de belangrijkste logistieke hotspots van Nederland. Met trots kunnen we melden dat de regio West-Brabant in 2017 uitverkozen is tot de logistieke hotspot nummer 1 van Nederland. West-Brabant staat op de eerste plek op de logistieke kaart van Nederland, met op de tweede plek de regio Venlo-Venray en op de derde Tilburg-Waalwijk.

A2B-online announces new intermodal connections for Moerdijk


Rail
As from 8th May the German rail operator Kombiverkehr will start a new rail connection between Ludwigshafen and Moerdijk. This container train with a length of 650 mtr will arrive 5x per week at Moerdijk. This train will be operated in combination with the current Duisburg train that arrives 3x per week at Moerdijk (and will in consequence be upgraded to 5 x per week).

GTS Group starts new rail connection Moerdijk-Piacenza


GTS Group, with its headquarter in Bari, Italy, starts as from 13 February 2017 a new rail connection between Moerdijk and Piacenza (Italy). The service starts with three departures per week, from and to terminal CCT Moerdijk. The outlook is to increase to six departures per week as from mid-September. The rail connection is perfectly linked to the sailing schedule of A2B to United Kingdom.
